Commemoration of Deportations & Genocide committed against Baltic Countries

Please join us on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 3.00pm to commemorate the deportations and genocide commited against the Baltic countries by the Soviet Union.  We will be gathering at the Lakewood Estonian House for the traditional candlelighting ceremony which coincides with the ceremonies taking place in Estonia and elsewhere.  This year we will be sharing this day with our Baltic brothers and sisters from Latvia and Lithuania to bring attention to the crimes against humanity which our people have suffered.  Our clergy will lead us in prayer and diplomatic representatives will join us with remarks.  More information on the program will be forthcoming shortly.  We will be showing documentary films.  Please come to show our solidarity with the Baltic victims of deportations and that they will be remembered and to vow that such atrocities will never be repeated.  Admission is free and the Cafe and Cash Bar will be available to all.

Olete oodatud Lakewoodi Eesti Majja pühapäeval, 25. märtsil 2012 kell 3.00 p.l.

Mälestame märtsiküüditamise ohvreid - teeme seda koos Lätlaste ja Leedulastega kelle saatused on olnud samuti karmid.  Täpsemat päevakava teatame nädala pärast.  Kolme Baltiriigi esindajad tulevad küünlaid süütama ja meenutama meie kurba ajalugu.  Kiriku õpetajad ja riigiesindajad on kutsutud palvuseks ja tervituseks.  Ajaloolised näitused ja kirjandus on kohapeal rahvale valgustamiseks.  Päevakohane filmi vaatamine on kavas.
