Haide Männamäe (b.1971) and Toomas Tross (b.1966) have performed together as a clown duo Piip & Tuut (pip! and honk!) since 1999.
They perform at many gala and circus shows, theatre and circus festivals, also have directed the circus performance with folk music The Lost City (2006) and The Joker (2007) for The Estonian Concert Agency.
Toomas had directed circus performance for the Circus Folie at the National Puppet Theatre in Tallinn, also performed in Sylt Island in Germany (2005) and at London Circus Festival (2006).
He also performed his solo show at ActAlone festival in Iceland (2007).
Toomas and Haide had completed the Theatre Faculty of Tallinn University 1988-93, and actor training at The Commedia School in Copenhagen 1995-97.
They had participated at many clown, mime and comedy workshops in Europe:
with Dario Fo at Commedia dell’arte Festival and Simon McBurney at Shakespere Company’s workshop in Copenhagen (1996), Jos Houben in Amsterdam (1998), Avner Eisenberg at Tampere Theatre Festival in Finland and Mick Barnfather in London (2002), Nola Rae at Jyväskylä Art Festival in Finland (2003).
Haide and Toomas had taught movement and acting at the theatre faculty of gymnasium in Tallinn .
Since 2007 they are teaching hospital clowns Dr.Kloun for the Clinic Clowns Eesti.
Since 1993 Haide and Toomas are the members of The Association of Professional Actors of Estonia. Since 2008 Piip and Tuut Theatre is a member of ASSITEJ.
